A Day In Two Acts

From 2 – 7 PM

The Hike & The Hand

Witness performances throughout the museum involving cast iron, and be sure to hike the Trails to explore the variety of sculptures in the museum’s collection.

Meet the Trails Crew that have traveled worldwide to become an artist-in-residence at the museum during the month of July.

Interested in creating your very own cast iron art? Join us at our carving zone, where the Sculpture Trails crew will be ready to help you make your own relief sculpture and cast iron bowl during the event.

From 8 – 10 PM

The Main Pour

Starting at 8 pm the main foundry will pour over 3,000 pounds of cast iron using two large-scale cast iron furnaces.

Witness large metal sculptures being poured and performance art done by artists from all over the world.

Come on out and share this unique experience with us as our July Workshop comes to a fiery close.

"Walk the trails by lantern.
Stay for the iron."
