Sculpture Trails is hosting its annual Blacksmithing class in September. Develop a new skill and learn more about blacksmithing with us. The workshop offers participants the unique opportunity to learn about blacksmithing in a hands-on environment. Participants will practice beginner forging techniques using modern and traditional tools. All materials will be provided for through the museum. Please note, this workshop is designed to provide introductory and intermediate knowledge.
All proceeds help sponsor the museum's efforts to fund public art programs for the Greene County area.
Requirements
For safety reasons we ask that you adhere to the following dress code when attending the workshop.
- Participants must wear all-cotton clothing
- Long pants
- Long sleeves
- Closed-toed leather shoes
- OSHA-approved safety goggles
- Work gloves
Not required but highly recommended
- 100% Cotton bandana or welder's cap
- Ear protection
